To Mark the 2018 centenary of the Representation of the People’s Act 1918 (where some women over 30+ won the right to vote in the UK); Abbott Dance Theatre is touring Deeds Not Words. We’re delighted to announce that themoving, energetic piece of dance theatre highlighting and commemorating women’s suffrage in the UK is joining us at Forest Arts Centre on Wednesday 27 February 2019 for two performances at 1.30pm and 7.30pm.
Featuring choral music and dance from local community groups, soundscape by Breifne Holohan and music composed by Jessica Dannheisser (BBC Ones Suffragettes with Lucy Worsley).
