PD4U is an exciting Professional Dance Programme that provides children & young people with the opportunity to watch live professional Dance and Physical Theatre performance in a professional venue and participate in workshops and choreographic projects
- 4 Professional Dance Companies will perform at Walsall Arena & Arts Centre between February 2020 – December 2021
- Each Company will deliver a programme of workshops for children and young people in schools, colleges and the community.
- Each Company performance will include a “Curtain-Raiser” created by the resident Company and performed before the professional show by children and young people
- A Family Show will be selected and managed by a group of young people from St Anne’s Primary School Walsall who will become “Young Promoters” supported by Black Country Touring
- The PD4U programme will be HIGHLY SUBSIDISED thanks to a Project Grant from Arts Council England & Midland Counties Community Fund
The first Company BCDH promoted at Walsall Arena as part of PD4U was “Rosie Kay” Dance Company with the Premier of the NEW “5 Soldiers” the body is the frontline in February 2020.
The performance was supported by 2 “Curtain-Raisers” by groups of students from
